The Art of Eating Crab

The kids are getting round to the idea that they can eat chilli crab, that it isn't too spicy. Here's a pic of Siyuan carefully picking his portion of meat out with a skewer. Much later, Sihuai lamented that she didn't do something similiar.

Swimming in Punggol

The last couple of weeks in Punggol before moving. We will miss the pools with their slides, and the big playground next to where we are staying.

Third

Sihuai got third in class for Primary Two. This though may be the last time she gets a prize. The children are banded in P3 based on their results, and hers look like one of the top classes. Earlier in the year, she came back and said: Now when Im good in class, im just normal. Recently she came back and told Lux she got full marks for her Chinese spelling..but do did half her class. Ha!

Baking his cookies

The kids always get excited whenever Lux decides to bake cakes, cookies and bread, which is often. Sometimes they help. In this case, Siyuan made the cookies more or less by himself. He brought it to school and shared with his friends 😀

The Last Jedi

Had an epic game with the boy, playing the Rise of the Empire expansion set to the Star Wars Rebellion game. The new cards changed the dynamics, allowing for unexpected losses. Siyuan pulled a fast one, entrapping my Luke Skywalker and killing him.

The sea

Having dinner - a repast of pizza and chicken wings - by the sea. With the food almost gone, I'm kicking back and Sihuai asks me if we can go. Told that we seldom have the opportunity to eat with sea nearby, she said - what's the point of the sea if you can't see it? Haha.

And the duck

Perhaps a dying trade. The chef came with the ducks, thr roast pork and char siew in a bike at one ish. Some in the coffee shop have been waiting for an hour. The roast duck didn't disappoint.
