Siyuan and Sihuai

Pokomon finally arrived in Singapore, which has got all and sundry excited. Its getting people to walk, Lux says. Despite not playing the game initially, Siyuan already knows about it having watched cartoons about it. Sadly, Punggol is less of a happy hunting ground than town.

Both metaphorially as well as physically for Sihuai! After 12 years away, and with the rapid changes in Singapore, there are times i feel like a stranger. In my first month I kept getting lost in the Dhoby Ghaut mrt station, unable to figure out the exit for eg. Anyway, heres a pic of Sihuai trying out a board. I'm not sure what it is called. The children have progressed from been pushed on a little wooden dog, to four-wheeled bicycle to roller blades to a scooter and now this. At this stage, we will get them bicycles.

Unpacking my old stuff and found this gem, along with its six other brothers. Was cheered that Siyuan actually had a go it one evening. So more than 30 years of first buying them, the book finds a fresh lease of life. Sadly, Siyuan didnt finish it, which made me wonder if I had cheated in the past! Well, he may return to it.
